Welcome Helping Churches Help Working together we can make a difference. The Bergen County Council of Churches is a coalition of over 400 churches who minister in the Bergen County area since its establishment in 1953.  We work to build a collaborative effort to provide services for all residents of Bergen County.  The Bergen County Council of Churches is the only Coucil of Churches in the State of New Jersey. The Bergen County Council of Churches seeks to be a channel of grace whereby the Christian Community can fulfill the words of Jesus found in Matthew 25:35-36 +For I was hungry, and you fed Me. +I was thirsty and you gave Me to drink. +I was a stranger, and you invited Me into your home. +I was naked, and you gave Me clothing. +I was sick and you cared for Me. +I was in prison, and you visted Me. We seek to be the Body of Christ through which local churches extend their Christian witness in Bergen County.
